Blue spots on the skin

Causes of Blue Spots on the Skin

What are the causes of blue spots appearing on the skin? :

This is a question many people ask about blue spots that suddenly appear on the skin! The short answer is:.

A/ The cause: a deficiency of “Vitamin C” and platelets,

and therefore we will discuss in this article everything related to “Vitamin C”, why it becomes deficient, and the harm this deficiency causes to the body,

and how to increase it through natural nutrition. We will also talk about platelets and their importance in the body and their effects as well,

because when a person feels stressed, within just 20 minutes they lose 300 milligrams or more of “ascorbic acid”

which means that most people suffer from a deficiency of “Vitamin C”.

What happens when “Vitamin C” is deficient? :

Since the human body does not produce “Vitamin C”, a deficiency of this vitamin develops quickly,

and among the first symptoms of this vitamin deficiency is “the appearance of blue spots on the skin, making it dry and pale,

along with constant fatigue and drowsiness, a feeling of coldness, and bleeding gums when brushing teeth”,

and with a prolonged period of vitamin deficiency and neglect, the consequences become more serious,

ranging from the appearance of varicose veins all the way — God forbid — to irregular heartbeats and joint pain.

Vitamin deficiency in general causes many problems,

for example, when “Vitamin C” is deficient, new cells are not generated in the body,

and with the support of this vitamin, the body’s immune system is activated, toxins are expelled, and hormones are produced properly.

Diet to increase “Vitamin C” :

An adult needs 90–100 milligrams of this vitamin daily,

as “Irina Vecherskaya”, author of the book “100 Recipes for Dishes Rich in “Vitamin C”,

says: “If a person’s diet is devoid of fresh vegetables and fruits,

especially in cold weather, or if this person is naturally prone to a lot of stress, then a deficiency of this vitamin is inevitable,

and smokers are more susceptible to this deficiency, as each cigarette reduces the level of Vitamin C by 25–30 milligrams,

and most of the vitamin C in a person’s diet comes from fruits and vegetables,

but beware that cooking fruits and vegetables reduces their vitamin C content by about one third.

There are many foods rich in “Vitamin C”, including :

– Citrus fruits such as: oranges, grapefruit, and lemons.

– Black apricots, strawberries, and cranberries.

– Cantaloupe and watermelon.

– Kiwi fruit.

– Vegetables such as: spinach, green and red bell peppers

and tomatoes, cauliflower, cabbage, broccoli, and potatoes.

– Some foods such as cereals are fortified with vitamin C,

meaning they contain added vitamin C. Vitamin C is also found in fresh milk and fish.

Platelet deficiency in the blood and its symptoms:

Symptoms of a low platelet count only appear if platelet levels are low enough,

but a very low count may not produce any symptoms at all.

If the count is low enough, the following symptoms may be noticed:

1- The appearance of spots or bruises resembling bruises on the skin in a blue color that change to yellow or green over time, which occurs due to sudden leakage from small blood vessels.

2- Small dark round red spots on the skin, which may appear as clustered groups called petechiae.

3- Platelet deficiency can also cause bleeding in the gums or blood in the urine or stool.

4- Severe platelet deficiency may cause heavy bleeding.

How to know if platelets are low or not!

We perform a complete blood count test in which the doctor measures the proportion of platelets present in the body,

as well as measuring red blood cells and white blood cells.
