Ford Surpasses Tesla with the Best Electric Vehicle
Ford has surpassed its rival Tesla with the best electric vehicle ever made this year,
as Consumer Reports replaced Tesla’s “Model 3”
with Ford’s “Mustang Mach-E” to become the top new electric vehicle of 2022,
and there is no doubt that this change gives Ford a significant morale boost as it strives to surpass Tesla,
in the race to become the number one electric vehicle manufacturer in the United States,
Consumer Reports is an American non-profit consumer organization dedicated to independent product testing,
consumer-oriented research, and consumer advocacy,
Tesla has long dominated Consumer Reports’ electric vehicle rankings,
where the Model 3 held the top position for the past two years.
What Did Consumer Reports Say About This?!
Consumer Reports stated that a variety of factors,
including ride quality, in-car user experience, and reliability, led to the crowning of the “Mustang Mach-E”.
Consumer Reports also wrote: The “Model 3” remains an excellent choice and is also recommended by Consumer Reports.
However, the “Mustang Mach-E” is equally sporty while also being more practical, quieter, and offering a more comfortable ride.
Both vehicles feature large infotainment center screens, both
but operating the “Mustang Mach-E” is much simpler and easier and does not require multiple steps to activate routine features,
such as for example using the defroster or adjusting the mirrors, as is the case with Tesla.
Consumer Reports also noted Ford’s decision to include a driver monitoring system in the “Mustang Mach-E”.
Likewise, Tesla has long made many efforts to include “DMS” in its vehicles.
This came in light of sending more software updates for advanced driver assistance systems,
which benefit from a more powerful driver monitoring system,
Ford Focuses on Competing with Tesla:
Ford recently launched a hands-free driver assistance system,
“BlueCruise”, for the 2021 Mustang “Mustang Mach-E”.
An infrared sensor monitors the driver’s eye movements and the vehicle issues a series of alerts,
if the driver’s attention begins to drift,
On the other hand, Tesla’s system only requires a hand on the steering wheel and does not have a gaze monitoring system for the driver,
It is worth noting that the “Model 3”’s clash with Consumer Reports is not the first time.
The organization in May 2018 said it could not recommend the electric car,
due to the long stopping distance during emergency braking tests.
Tesla’s CEO ”Elon Musk” also attacked Consumer Reports’ methods,
but the company later sent an update that improved the car’s braking distance by about 20 feet,

and its competitors are resentful of the company’s stock price,
